How It Works

Bucko is a closed beta marketplace. Roles are Buyer, Shipper (hauler), and Seller. Buyers pay the full amount up front. Bucko holds funds in escrow until delivery or receipt is confirmed.

For Buyers

    Create a free account and select the Buyer role.

  2. 2

    Post a haul request with pickup, destination, date, and horse details — or book a verified shipper directly.

  3. 3

    Review bids from verified shippers and accept the best offer.

  4. 4

    Pay the full haul amount up front (haul price + 15% platform fee + a flat escrow fee). Funds sit in escrow.

  5. 5

    Track the haul. Confirm receipt to release payment, or wait 24 hours after delivery and escrow auto-releases.

For Shippers

    Create an account and select the Shipper role.

  2. 2

    Build your trailer profile — capacity, rates, and service area.

  3. 3

    Upload compliance documents. You will not appear in search or be able to bid until an admin approves them.

  4. 4

    Connect Stripe to receive payouts. You receive 100% of your haul quote; the buyer pays platform and escrow fees on top.

  5. 5

    Browse open requests, bid, run the job (pickup, rest stops, delivery), and get paid after the buyer confirms or the 24-hour window elapses.

For Sellers

    Create an account and select the Seller role.

  2. 2

    Draft a listing with photos plus required horse documents (CVI and Coggins).

  3. 3

    Answer buyer inquiries (one reply per inquiry during this beta).

  4. 4

    Buyer pays the full listing price up front. Mark the horse shipped after payment.

  5. 5

    Funds release when the buyer confirms receipt, or automatically after the 24-hour window.
